Työ runs on top of your own WhatsApp Business number. There are a few things to set up before you onboard — most take 10–30 minutes, plus a one-time Meta approval that can take a day.
A SIM or VoIP number you'll use for WhatsApp Business. It must not already be registered with the personal WhatsApp app on any phone. We recommend a fresh prepaid SIM dedicated to the restaurant.
Free to create at business.facebook.com. Used to verify your business identity and to host the WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) we'll connect to.
You'll be the lead manager during setup. You can invite up to three co-managers once you're inside — kitchen, FOH, owner, whichever roles you have.
You sign up with Meta and connect your WhatsApp Business Account to Työ in the wizard's step 4 (Embedded Signup). Meta approves you directly. Fastest path for restaurants that already have a Facebook Business account.
If you don't want to deal with Meta directly, we (Vaivatta) can provision a WABA on your behalf under our Tech Provider account. You'll still own the data; we handle the Meta paperwork.
No. WhatsApp Business and personal WhatsApp can't share a number. Get a fresh number for the business.
Usually 1–3 business days for utility-template approval. The number itself activates immediately after Embedded Signup completes.
You'll need to migrate the number from that tool's WABA to ours. Meta provides a self-serve migration in the Business Manager. We can guide you through it.
